"Ago" requires simple past
Ago names a definite point in the past and needs the simple past, not the present perfect: I finished it two hours ago, not I have finished it two hours ago.
- B1
Perfect tenses take the past participle
After have/has/had, use the past participle: have gone (not have went), has drunk (not has drank). For visits, use have been to.

Present perfect with ever in superlative clauses
In a superlative clause about experience up to now, use have/has + ever + past participle: This is the best film I have ever seen. Ever also occurs in questions such as Have you ever been to Paris? Do not use it in a plain affirmative statement such as He has ever been to Paris.
