Usual positions of frequency adverbs
Frequency adverbs usually go before the main verb (I always go), after be (He is always late), or after the first auxiliary (She has often visited). Often, sometimes, and usually can also appear in other positions. A different position is not automatically a grammatical error.

Manner adverbs vs. adjectives
Manner adverbs describe how an action happens. Many end in -ly: quick becomes quickly, and careful becomes carefully. Others do not: fast, hard and well are adverbs too. This task practises standard written forms such as He ran quickly; quick also has informal adverb uses, so it is not wrong in every context.
